CDs and DVDs

To support people’s practice and to help with learning, a number of CDs and DVDs are available.

DVD series with Wei Qi Feng

(audio and video)

Three DVDs exist: Taiji BallLift Qi Up Pour Qi Down, and Three Centres Merge Standing Form. All three are available for purchase within New Zealand and Taiji Ball is also available to purchase from overseas. All contain two recordings, one suitable for beginners and one for more advanced practitioners. Taiji Ball also includes four slow practice versions for those learning the practice, of Outward Spiral and Inward Spiral from the front and from the back.

Beginners have found Lift Qi Up Pour Qi Down invaluable, the teaching version for learning the method and the longer session for ongoing practice.

To ensure top quality sound and visuals, the DVDs were recorded in studio using one fixed and one moving camera. The second camera enabled close-up images that show precisely the correct postures from different angles.

CD series with Wei Qi Feng

(audio only)

These CDs (audio only) were recorded in the Wudang Mountains, in the qi field declared exceptional by Dr Pang, the creator of Zhineng Qigong. They aim to support people in their practice and help them improve their levels of health, wellbeing and spiritual harmony. Birds and insects abound on the more secluded Wudang slopes, and feature as a background to most of the recordings.

Our first aim was to support people by providing a guided practice of each of the three main methods of Zhineng Qigong. There is a shorter and a longer version of each method, to allow for different needs and abilities. See below for more information.

Healing from a high level teacher is important for many practitioners. Our most sought-after and valued recording has been Teacher Wei’s general Healing CD. Many people with serious illness have told us what an immense support it was to them during their most difficult times. This general healing CD is useful for any type of health problem, or just to improve vitality and serenity.

When Teacher Wei was asked to choose particular illnesses he would especially like to help people with, he picked three: diabetes, cancer and heart conditions. (Note that these are no longer available from the Zhineng Qigong Trust but can be downloaded from https://www.daohearts.com/audios-healing-meditation/.) These recordings were made to support Zhineng Qigong practitioners, but Teacher Wei tried to make them accessible to people who are new to qigong.

Teacher Wei found he could help people who have sleep difficulties, so there is also a CD for them.

All these recordings resonate with Teacher Wei’s compassion and years of experience. His deep understanding of the theory and practice to which he has dedicated his life shine through and give confidence to the listener. Many people have benefitted from the efforts those involved made to bring them to you.

Although the CDs are created for Zhineng Qigong practitioners, they can also be of great value to those unfamiliar with qigong.
