The Zhineng Qigong Trust was incorporated as a Charitable Trust in 2001 with the following aims:
- To facilitate knowledge about and access to the teachings and practice of Zhineng Qigong for the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of all New Zealanders.
- To achieve this broad aim through education: provision of personnel and facilities so as to enable New Zealanders to learn about and practice Zhineng Qigong.
- To achieve this broad aim through research: provision of personnel and facilities so as to improve scientific understanding of qigong.
The Zhineng Qigong Trust’s incorporation as a Charitable Trust fits with the general aim of Zhineng Qigong, to improve human health and wellbeing for the benefit of all humanity. Zhineng Qigong views nature, society and humans as parts of an integrated whole, just as each individual is also an integrated whole. Within each individual, the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual are completely interwoven; within society and in the workings of our whole planet, the same interlinking and inter-dependence exists. As people raise their levels of health and understanding, the larger society and the world that nurtures us will also benefit.
The Trustees believe that the powerful healing and uplifting qualities of Zhineng Qigong make possible transformation on both an individual, personal level and on the level of society. The Zhineng Qigong Trust is dedicated to facilitating that change.
The Trust has links to a number of high-level Zhineng Qigong teachers in China.
